Ambassadors

Meet our team of mountain guides and athletes

We're proud to work with backcountry adventurers and experts who spend their days working and exploring the world's most spectacular and challenging mountains.

Finn Hovem

Steep Skier, IFMGA Candidate

One of Northern Norway's most active participants in the snow and avalanche community. Finn owns and operates his own guide service in the Lyngen Alps, Hallo Lyngen, and is also the sole avalanche observer for the region - all on top of an impressive list of first descents and high-profile clients.

Sigurd Felde

IFMGA Mountain Guide

Norwegian mountain guide with over 20 years of experience guiding and exploring the world's high summits in all four seasons. Has skied on all 7 continents and has first-ascents in Canada, Pakistan, and Patagonia.

Tromsø Ski Guides

IFMGA / NORTIND

Sarah MacGregor

Björn Kruse

IFMGA Mountain Guide

Owner-operator of the Romsdal Lodge outside of Åndalsnes, Norway. Kruse is often regarded as one of the best in Norway at finding safe and fun snow in steep terrain, and recently published "Couloir and Steepskiing in Romsdal" together with Killian Jornet and David Lindgren.

What does it mean to be an "ambassador"?

Product Tester

Safeback products are on the backs of our ambassadors all season, allowing us to get continuous feedback from them and learn about problems while we are developing the final product.

Community Mentor

Mentorship is a foundational part of backcountry travel, where the voice of experience can be shared with those who need to hear it. Safeback's ambassadors are mentors to our team and content produced with them will be focused on sharing their wisdom and experience in steep terrain.
